GCU Concludes Semester Activities
The Guidance and Counseling Unit (GCU) hosted a workshop presented by the Saudi Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) on October 31, 2022, as well as an appreciation ceremony for high-achieving students, contributing faculty members, and supportive staff. Dean, Dr. Abdullah-Al-Melhi, Chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Alasmari, and GCU Head, Dr. Dawood Mahdi, chaired the event.
Muhammad Jaber Al-Harbi, Hadaf career counselor, kicked off the event by introducing students to Hadaf's employment support programs and some of Hadaf's activities. He then delivered a comprehensive presentation titled The Art of Dealing with Tests. The presentation was interactive, according to workshop participants, and pushed them to construct an action plan for the final exam.
Students with a cumulative grade point average of 4.5 or higher for the second semester of 1443 were acknowledged shortly after. Faculty members and the leadership team in attendance congratulated students on their academic achievements and wished them continued success.
Dr. Mahdi and the leadership team then presented Muhammad Jaber Al-Harbi, Hadaf career counselor, with a certificate of appreciation for his presentation. The celebration followed with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to all faculty, staff, and current/former GCU ambassadors who contributed to GCU's accomplishments and activities.
Dean Al-Melhi and Dr. Mahdi urged the students to be diligent and hardworking at the end of the event. They offered wise and motivating remarks, urging high-performing students to maintain their accomplishments and assist their peers in developing good study habits.
