The Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics program is designed for individuals with a passion for language and a desire to deepen their understanding of language acquisition, teaching, and research. This program provides advanced coursework in areas such as linguistics, language acquisition, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, language policy, and language planning.
In their first year, students will focus on developing advanced academic writing skills and gaining a solid foundation in applied linguistics, linguistics, and language acquisition. In their second year, students will delve deeper into topics such as computer-assisted language teaching, sociolinguistics, language pedagogy, and language policy.
In addition to coursework, students will also receive extensive training in research methods and will have the opportunity to apply these skills in a research project in their final semester. Graduates of this program are well-equipped for careers in a variety of fields such as education, research, policy-making, and language assessment.
