The Faculty of Languages and Translation (Female Section) announces a competition, "Reading Challenge" from 20/1/1439 to 7/2/1439. This competition aims to make students read books and courage them to write and explain their ideas. Awards will be distributed to the winners.
The E-Learning Unit of our faculty is launching its E-Learning Awareness Campaign for Level 1 students of the English Department and the English Language Center (ELC) this week, from Sunday, October 8th to Thursday, October 12th. The program will be conducted from 9-12pm and 2-5pm. The campaign aims to make Level 1 students as well as the faculty members aware of the necessary and effective use of the university e-learning system. During the campaign, the E-Learning Unit is going to carry out the following activities:
• Meeting students individually in their classroom after informing their instructors,
• Organizing workshops for students in the e-learning labs,
• Organizing an e-quiz competition for students
• Setting up an e-learning stall and distributing brochures and booklets, and
• Holding a workshop for the faculty members

The Faculty of Languages and Translation is holding a free 18-hour course titled, " An Introduction to General Translation." FLT Lecturer, Dr. Eyhab Abdulrazak Bader Eddin, will deliver the hands-on course. We are committed to providing high-quality community service translation training in general, and in particular, teachers from the Ministry of Education for this course. Participants will be introduced to translation studies as a separate discipline of knowledge and will gain an increased awareness related to the nature of translation. The course will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. starting on 2/20/2017. It is worth noting that certificates of completion will be distributed! It is located within the Deanship of Community Service and Continued Learning, in the Al Qimma room located in Building 4 on the 2nd floor. Please email any enquiries to at email@example.com.
