To provide high-quality guidance services that empower students to develop their abilities and skills to a level that distinguishes them in the labor market.

Mission

The Guidance and Counselling Unit at the Faculty of Languages and Translation provides supervisory services aimed at identifying obstacles to the educational process and providing students with distinctive skills for the labor market and community service. We are committed to providing high-quality guidance and counselling services that support students in achieving their academic, personal, and career goals.

Goals

  1. Assist students in preparing and planning for their academic and professional futures, by providing them with comprehensive guidance and counselling services that facilitate their decision-making processes.
  2. Help students discover their abilities, identify their goals, and develop appropriate plans to suit their individual needs, interests, and aspirations.
  3. Foster a culture of self-direction and self-awareness among students, by providing them with the necessary tools and resources to improve their decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  4. Promote positive changes in student behavior and attitudes towards their culture, community, and society, by providing them with culturally-sensitive guidance and counselling services that help them to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills.
  5. Assist students in choosing proper courses according to their academic plans, interests, and abilities, and provide them with information and guidance on career options and opportunities.
  6. Provide preventative and developmental advising services that achieve efficiency and productivity in regards to educational achievement, and support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  7. Protect students from academic failure, by identifying and addressing the causes of low-grade point averages, and providing them with the necessary support and resources to improve their academic performance.

By implementing these goals, the Guidance and Counselling Unit aims to enable students to develop their abilities, skills, and self-confidence to a level that distinguishes them in the labor market and the community. We are committed to providing high-quality guidance and counselling services that support students in achieving their full potential, and to contributing to the achievement of King Khalid University's aspirations for the development of the Kingdom's human capital.
